Rio Las Vegas’ New Baccarat Room Offers 5 Treasures Baccarat

If you’re an online baccarat player yet to experience the atmosphere of playing in a land casino, then now is the perfect time to do so. Last month, the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas celebrated the grand opening of its new Baccarat Room.
Patrick Miller, President & CEO of Rio Hotel & Casino, and Grant Rogers, Vice President of Casino Operations, led the ceremony and welcomed media and guests into the luxurious new gaming area. Positioned just off the main casino floor, the Baccarat Room delivers an inclusive and engaging experience for its visitors.
Speaking at the opening, Miller said:
“We are excited to unveil our new Baccarat Room, developed in response to the increasing momentum behind Rio’s gaming operations. This inviting new space marks the latest step in the ongoing transformation of our casino floor. As guest preferences continue to evolve, we remain committed to delivering a dynamic, inclusive gaming experience that reflects the energy and spirit of Rio Las Vegas.”
The Baccarat Room features a modern aesthetic in keeping with the atmosphere across the casino floor and with its sleek design and intimate setting is able to cater to both newcomers and experienced baccarat players.
Exciting Baccarat Side Bets
As part of the high-quality baccarat offering, the Rio is offering the 5 Treasures Baccarat side bets. One of the bets offers payouts of up to 200:1, which can lead to great excitement. The available side bets include:

- Golden 8 – Player wins with a 3-card 8, pays 25 to 1
- Heavenly 9 – Player and Banker have 3-card 9s, pays 75 to 1; or either player or banker with a 3-card 9, pays 10 to 1

The “Cover All” bet ties them together and pays 6 to 1 for any winning event.
Celebrate Fourth of July at the Rio
If the new baccarat room alone isn’t enough to take you to the Rio, then perhaps the prospect of celebrating the Fourth of July will do the trick. The Rio is planning a packed Fourth of July weekend under the theme “Red, White & Boots”. Working together with Cowboy Lifestyle Network, the casino is promising two days of celebration that bring together Southern charm and Las Vegas energy.
The festivities start on Friday, July 4, and run through Saturday, July 5. During the day, guests can enjoy poolside parties at Ipanema Beach Club from 12 PM to 5 PM. Country DJ sets by DJ Du will set the tone with relaxed summer vibes, while drink specials, games, and giveaways will keep the party going. The daytime fun is open to hotel guests and Rio Rewards members Azul and above at no extra charge.
Towards evening, the party will continue with a variety of nighttime entertainment options. On July 4, the Ipanema Beach Club will host a live country night swim featuring performances by Bigg Vinny and Matt Farris, alongside a dazzling fireworks display. Admission is just $10 for adults and free for kids, hotel guests, and Rio Rewards members Azul and above. Meanwhile, those seeking rooftop views can head to the VooDoo Lounge for an all-you-can-drink rooftop party with a live DJ from 7 PM to 9:30 PM. After 9:30 PM, the rooftop party continues with no cover charge and a cash bar until 1:00 AM.
On Saturday, July 5, the Rio Event Stage will transform into a country-themed tribute concert. The evening begins at 8 PM with pre-show tunes by DJ Du, followed by performances honoring Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, and Kenny Chesney from 9 PM to 11 PM. Entry to this lively show is free for all ages, with VIP seating packages available for those who want to boost their experience. For those who want to keep the celebration going, the VooDoo Lounge’s Sundown Society event runs from 6 PM to 1 AM, featuring sunset views of the Las Vegas Strip, signature cocktails, and live DJ performances, all with no cover charge.
Of course, between all of this, you can stop by the new Baccarat Room to try your luck with a few rounds of our favorite game. What more could you want from a Fourth of Jul weekend?
