Caesars Rewards Adds Ultra-Exclusive Olympus Tier
If you regularly play online baccarat or visit land casinos, you will almost certainly have come across casino loyalty programs. Generally, the more you play and spend, the higher you climb through the different tiers and the better the rewards become, and now Caesars Entertainment is taking the idea to a new level with its latest addition.
Starting in 2027, there will be a new top tier in Caesars Rewards, known as Olympus. To even be considered for membership, customers must earn 300,000 Tier Credits by the end of 2026. Based on the standard rate for slot play, this would require around $1.5 million in bets. Even then, entry is not guaranteed, as Olympus will be an invitation-only level.
Olympus Sits Above Seven Stars
Until now, the highest level of Caesars Rewards has been Seven Stars. This requires at least 150,000 Tier Credits and is itself invitation-only. Olympus doubles the minimum credit requirement to 300,000.
Tier Credits can be collected in numerous ways at Caesars properties. Hotel rooms and resort fees generally earn one Tier Credit for every $1 spent, as does eligible spending at participating restaurants and on entertainment. Slot machines generally award one credit for every $5 bet, while video poker awards one for every $10.
Things are slightly different for table games such as baccarat. When playing at baccarat tables, Caesars calculates Tier Credits based on factors such as how long you play, your average bet, and the type of game. Therefore, there is no simple amount that a baccarat player needs to bet to reach Olympus.
Online activity can also count. Caesars says Tier Credits can be earned through its digital platforms, including Caesars Palace Online Casino, Horseshoe Online Casino, Caesars Sportsbook, and WSOP Online.
Does Olympus Really Require $1.5 Million in Spending?
The $1.5 million figure attached to Olympus is not quite that straightforward. Members will not have to spend literally $1.5 million of their own money to reach the new loyalty tier.
The figure is based on the standard rate at which slot play earns points. As one Tier Credit is normally awarded for every $5 bet on a slot machine, earning 300,000 credits entirely from slot play would require $1.5 million in total bets. Of course, that does not mean losing $1.5 million, as when betting that much on slot machines, you are sure to win something and can also use your winnings to keep playing and earn credits.
Someone relying entirely on video poker would theoretically need $3 million in bets because the earning rate is one credit per $10. Similarly, somebody earning credits solely through qualifying hotel and restaurant spending would reach 300,000 credits after spending $300,000.
For table-game players, it is impossible to make the same calculation. A high-stakes baccarat player could build Tier Credits based on their average bet and playing time, rather than earning them at a fixed rate for every dollar bet.
Whichever way the credits are earned, 300,000 is a very high target. Caesars is unusual among the major Las Vegas casino operators in publicly specifying a minimum threshold for its most exclusive invitation-only tier. MGM Rewards also has its invitation-only NOIR level, while Wynn and Venetian operate similarly exclusive programs for their biggest customers.
Even 300,000 Credits Does Not Guarantee Membership
However, even if you manage to earn enough credits, you are not guaranteed to be invited to the Olympus tier. Caesars explained: “As an invitation-only tier, earning the tier credit requirement does not guarantee membership.”
The company has not said exactly how it will decide which qualifying customers receive invitations, but it does mean that someone could reach the required total and remain at the Seven Stars level.
Those who are invited will receive several additional benefits. Olympus members will earn Reward Credits 40% faster, receive complimentary suite upgrades when available, and gain access to exclusive events. There will also be an annual seven-night retreat at a Caesars Rewards destination.
The first Olympus members will also be invited to a Founders Party at Caesars Palace in March 2027, while dedicated Olympus membership cards are due to become available from February 1.
Unfortunately, for most of us, the new top tier in Caesars Rewards will obviously remain well out of reach. However, Caesars’ decision to create the level shows just how much competition there is for the very biggest casino spenders and the lengths operators are going to in order to attract them.
